About Us

A specialist Institute, Milltown is open to everyone, young and old, believers and non-affiliated. It offers civil and ecclesiastical awards to doctoral level in many disciplines including Ethics, Theology, Philosophy, Spirituality, and Pastoral Care.

What we offer
The College offers a high level of personal supervision due to the generous ratio of staff to students, giving learners the opportunity to discuss their work in detail with their teachers. Its motto is "Bringing Scholarship to Life" and its sees itself as having an important role in the development of an ethical conscience in a culturally diversified Europe.

In 2003 the Institute entered an alliance with Kimmage Mission Institute which now operates from the Milltown campus and provides new perspectives on our multi-cultural world. Some 44 nations are now represented in the student body.

Early in 2005 Milltown Institute became a Recognised College of the National University of Ireland, one of five such Colleges in the country. This means that Institute awards are validated by the NUI. This is an exciting development which will integrate the Institute into the national university system. We are on the move!

A variety of courses are on offer, which are designed to meet students needs for flexibility, while being interesting and providing a qualification that can pave the way for career or further study.
