About us

American College Dublin, based in the heart of Dublin City Centre, in the prestigious surroundings of Merrion Square, has been providing excellence in education for over 14 years. At ACD your college education is about more than obtaining a Degree. It is about discovering and developing your own interests and talents, and we have achieved this with the help of our dedicated Academic team who have been providing quality lecturing since we opened our doors in 1993.

Whilst we have a strong international focus at the College and have welcomed over 50 different nationalities through our doors, the main embodiment of our students are Irish/European. At ACD this cosmopolitan, international mix of students has enhanced our student community and programmes as students are getting the opportunity to learn, experience and understand the many cultures of the World within the setting of a small class size.

All programmes at ACD are fully recognized by HETAC and ACICS. We also have dual accreditation on some of our programmes. An interesting point to note about ACD which sets us apart is our American Accreditation. This opens up many opportunities for our students, especially those who may like to further their studies in USA.

All undergraduate programmes at ACD include an internship, in order to gain real-world experience in your field of study. ACD has developed links with a wide range of Irish and international companies and organizations and actively assists students to find suitable internships. This practical initiation into the workplace can be vital when seeking employment and the internship helps students to develop the skills and knowledge needed to begin a successful career.
